Use Salesforce to keep your contacts, forever, for free...

As you can tell from my previous post I'm trying to consolidate years of contact lists and files into one, centralized place. We've all held a few different positions at different companies during the course of our careers, and most likely we've got a few PSTs, excel files and/or lists with contact information in them. If you're anything like me you need the information from these files and its a giant pain to get it.

I'm here to tell you to stop keeping dozens of lists in dozens of places and start using Salesforce.com. Sure, it costs money, if you want the corporate version. If you have no intention of sending mass emails, or generating fancy reports or pipelines, use the free version of Salesforce.com. It's awesome.
