Patent Application: System and Method for Patenting the Absurd

There have been long raging debates on the necessity for revamping the patent system in both the US and EU for some time now. The IP litigation and protection facets of these two patent systems have either stifled innovation or served as its motivation and driving factor, it just depends on where you sit at the table. Despite these arguments, and their many pointed facts and figures, there are certain patent applications that take absurdity to a new level.

    Here's my recent favorite: Link.

Anyone who has been a Bank of America customer and tried to reach a service representative on the weekend, or just about any other time, knows just how much value BofA places on happy, satisfied customers. So while you take a few minutes to review the above patent application imagine just how much weight the BofA "analyst" placed on a countries capacity to meet customer needs when debating how many domestic jobs can be pushed off-shore.

Thanks Bank of America, hopefully you will win this patent and prevent any other American company from doing what you have done.
