Stolen Usernames and Passwords Cost the Justice Department about $3 Million per Incident
Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 7:53PM In a recent report published by Phoenix Technologies, it has been revealed that most attacks against government infrastructure resulted from stolen usernames and passwords. This report also states that these attacks could have been easily prevented through a process of recognizing the devices attempting to connect to the network.
The technologies necessary to identify a device in order to grant a license or access have long since been in use by Uniloc USA.
