    (M-1)(S+1)/S aka German Efficiency and Panzer Tanks

    In this great piece that I orignially read on Bruce Schneier's blog, the Guardian explains how statisticians were able to use the German love of strict adherence to logic and order to estimate how many tanks they were producing per month.
